Longganisa is a popular breakfast food. It has savory and sweet taste, and is made with different amounts of lean meat, fat, garlic, black pepper, salt, saltpeter, muscovado or brown sugar, and vinegar. And Sweet taste is due to sugar or banana ketchup. Longganisa is served with garlic rice and eggs. Its tatse is similar to a chorizo and Portuguese linguiça.
There are 3 different types of Longganisa. They are Ilocos, Skinless and Garlic Longganisa. They vary on their bases of recipe and ingredients. You can select any of your own choice.
